Every year we find ourselves lucky enough to be photographing a few Whistler weddings. M+C’s Fairmont Chateau Whistler wedding was held on the rooftop of the hotel. What a unique wedding ceremony location! Before their ceremony, we had a beautiful trek and photo session up in the mountains with them and their bridal party. It was actually quite funny to see summer hikers struggling to walk along (the easy) path, meanwhile here we all were with heavy photo gear and the whole bridal party in dresses and suits! Such troopers! 🙂

We love making albums for each of our clients, as each one becomes a truly unique finished work of art that reflects their story, emotions and beauty of their day. Here are just a few album layouts from their wedding in Whistler.

Dave is a photographer.
And Sandra is his girlfriend and therefore has a keen eye for photography and always has great photos taken of her.
So we felt honoured to photograph them and challenged!
We’ve known Dave and Sandra for many years, in fact I used to work with Dave when he worked as a photographer for Expedia. We had a short 20min Vancouver photo session with them the other day and here are a few of our favourite photographs that Justin and I took of them.

We recently had a lovely Vancouver sunset engagement session with Christina and Mike in English Bay.We met up with them just before the sunset and had a leisurely walk on the beach, chatted lots and simply had a nice easy relaxed engagement session with them. We can’t always plan for great sunsets, but on this evening, we were all treated to a gorgeous Vancouver sunset! Yippee! Since many of the guests at their wedding are coming from the US or New Zealand, I’m sure Christina and Mike will be happy to share these photos highlighting some of the city they have chosen to be their new home. Oh, and of course, some photos of themselves too!

It’s a very wet and rainy Spring day in Vancouver today, so I thought I’d share this super sunny and warm photograph from Julie + Jordan’s wedding at Brock House. I just love it! This is that amazing moment when they were welcomed with cheers and clapping into their wedding reception. I love so many things about this photograph, the golden glow of the setting sun, the way Jordan is looking at Julie and, not to be missed, the way the little girl is looking a Julie. A memorable moment for sure!

We love our albums. Our clients love their albums. Their families love their albums. We make so many beautiful heirloom wedding albums each year, that we thought we’d start sharing a few of them with you online. Here are a few layouts from Kat + Chris’ 12x12inch wedding album. I just thought I’d mention that Kat is a sommelier, so of course I had to take her dress photo in front of the huge wine rack at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club, where they were married.
