Professional BC Wedding Awards: And the winner is… not us again!

For the fourth straight year now we have not won a single Professional BC Wedding Award. And whilst you might be thinking that this is a strange topic for a blog article, it is not as odd as you think.  Let me explain…

Back in 2009 Justin developed the concept for the Professional BC Wedding Awards; an independent, unbiased organization to recognize outstanding talent in BC’s dynamic wedding industry.  Since the first Awards night in 2010, it has grown significantly and the awards event is now the largest event for wedding industry professionals in BC. This year we had 500 guests! It’s like the Oscars for our industry! The winners and finalists who are recognized through this program have done outstandingly well to reach the top, and we are personally very proud of all of them. 🙂

So, what does this all have to do with hyperfocus photography you ask?  Well, since Justin is the Founder and President of the Professional BC Wedding Awards (and the other half to hyperfocus photography) we simply cannot submit to win a BC Wedding Award, because it would be a huge conflict of interest.

I am very proud of Justin for creating such a successful Awards program that helps so many companies in BC receive the recognition they deserve. It also elevates our industry as a whole throughout the Province.  It bring us both lots of joy to see so many talented, motivated and hard working people in our industry get recognized for their work. And that is (almost) worth not being able to submit! 😉
