Chris + Angela: Married at the Fraser River Lodge, Agassi

We were so honoured that Chris and Angela chose us to be their wedding photographers, because Chris is a pro photographer himself and Angela is often right there beside him photographing as well. So needless to say, photography was really important to them and we’d like to thank them for choosing us, as it is a huge compliment! (Thanks you two! ) One of the main reasons for choosing the Fraser River Fishing Lodge in Agassi for their wedding day, was because of the beautiful views by the river over looking the valley and steep mountains nearby. As it turned out, it was a very very, wet rainy wedding day to say the least for Chris and Angela. It pretty much poured rain all day, but it didn’t dampen the mood and the venue was perfect as the lodge itself as a nice country log cabin feel and they are a venue that is really well prepared for rain, which was nice for us to see, as that isn’t always the case. Anyway, enough said, enjoy!

Angela’s  stylish asymmetrical wedding dress followed through down to her toes, where on one shoe she fastened her Grandmother’s brooch, a really lovely way to personilze using an accessory that has important meaning to her. Also a really neat wedding detail that her bridesmaids did for her, was to each write a little message for her on the bottom of her shoes! Cute!

I love the look on Angela’s Mom’s face when she came to watch the final touches of her daughter getting ready. A very proud Mom indeed!

The guys enjoying a few of the dry minutes of an otherwise very wet, wet day. Before their ceremony, Chris and Angela wanted to meet up for a wedding day reveal or first-look. We enjoy arranging a spot to have the couple meet up and see each other before they walk down the aisle. It’s often a really powerful emotional experience and certainly helps with any wedding day nerves, as a couple can then chat, laugh and enjoy time together when they see each other, versus seeing each other during the ceremony, where not much can be said.

Since we knew it was going to rain, we had pre-location scouted rain options and had found this old derelict farm house, which had great textures everywhere! When we did get there though, we had a short break in the rain, which was nice and had a chance to put down the the umbrella’s for a bit.

Chris and his Dad are both landscape photographers and we know they just loved this view across the Fraser river of the misty clouds, seen from the deck of the Fraser River Lodge.

Hmmmm, yes, the endless puddles on this wet, rainy wedding day.

This Price Is Right inspired wheel was a fun, interactive way to get the guests silly and entertained while waiting for their turn at the buffet.

The amazingly awesome groovin’ Side One band rocked it out for Chris and Angela’s guests for a great night of dancing.
