Joanne + Tony’s, Wedding at Westwood Plateau, Coquitlam

Joanne and Tony were certainly one of the most fun couples that we have worked with in the last year and judging by all of the guests at their wedding, there are many other people who are also aware that these two are really great.  They truly have a lot of love and respect for each other which in turn creates such a wonderful energy around them. Their wedding took place at Westwood Plateau in Coquitlam with their ceremony on the front lawn and reception taking place in the upstairs room.  These two really put a lot of thought and effort into every aspect of their wedding, creating an incredible experience for themselves and their hundreds of guests.  Regular readers of our blog might remember that Joanne and Tony had a photograph from their engagement photo session that we had with them featured in the fall 2010 issue of Real Weddings magazine (pg 25).  You can really see from their engagement photographs and wedding photographs that these two know how to enjoy themselves and truly appreciate and love being together.

Joanne had an absolutely stunning dress by designer Maggie Sottero.  The pre-ceremony planning was made easier by finishing the final stages of getting into her dress right at Westwood Plateau, she had plenty of help from her bridesmaids, who were long time close friends and her Mom.

Tala Florist did an amazing job with Joanne’s wedding bouquet, boutonnieres and floral centerpieces. Lovely fresh flowers in beautiful arrangements seem to be exploding everywhere.

Bathed in morning sunlight, Joanne’s Dad walked her proudly down the aisle towards Tony.  Cascading displays of seemingly never-ending orchids adorned the aisle with two more large displays of orchids at the front- stunning!

Was there a reason for doing this jump shot? – You bet!  Just have a look at their feet; as a gift to the wedding party Joanne and Tony bought everyone some REALLY comfy shoes from Roxy and DC and this was moments after putting them on!  Do you think these guys look happy to have traded in their heels and dress shoes for some nice comfy slip-on shoes?  ooooh ya! Happy enough to jump for joy!

We just love this photograph! Not only are they gorgeous women, this photo represents so much about their day.

To contrast the elegance of their ceremony, we incorporated some urban rustic shots in their session.

The room was exquisitely set up with decor by Sweet Beginnings, flowers by Tala and personalized table number cards which we created with Joanne and Tony.

Tony prepares to throw the garter to the single guys, take a look at all those unmarried men, whoa! They were a keen bunch!

It was after 11pm here and these two are just beaming, what an amazing experience these two created not only for themselves, but all their guests too.

Thanks to Joanne and Tony for choosing us to capture their big day for them, we had a fabulous time working with both of them and feel honoured to have shared in their wedding day with them.  You know, I have to say considering this photograph was taken at the end of the night, I think all of us are looking great considering what a long day it had been.
