Christina and Fabian were married only a few days ago at VanDusen Gardens and had their reception at Hawksworth Restaurant in downtown Vancouver. They hosted a whirlwind beautiful event for their family and friends, who all flew into Vancouver to be at their side and witness their marriage in our beautiful city. We’ll post more photos to show you more soon.
During Whitney and Powell’s 9 years together they have spent a lot of time at the beach, since Powell has always had a passion for skim boarding. They even spent 8 months backpacking around the South Pacific visiting some of the best beaches in the world with Powell’s skimboard in this travelling backpack, so cool! So of course, Powell searched out a lovely secluded Vancouver beach to propose to Whitney and it was only natural that we have their engagement session at Jericho Beach and their special beach too. Both Justin and I really lovely time with them, Whitney and Powell have such a great energy about them and we are really looking forward to their wedding day this Autumn.
Nicole and Greg met years ago in Bamfield at the Marine Sciences Centre beach combing and mucking around tide pools. Their love of the sea and all things beneath brought them together and was their inspiration for their seaside theme wedding,(except the part where she wears cowgirls boots, but that’s a tip of the hat to her Abbotsford roots!). They were married on a gorgeous hot summery day at the Celebration Pavilion in Queen Elizabeth Park and had a gorgeous evening wedding reception at Bridges Restaurant on Granville Island.
When we were chatting with Sarah & Dustin about what they loved to do, they mentioned that they love to have picnics in Queen Elizabeth Park- so what a perfectly fun way to spend a Spring engagement photo session! These two lovers of fine charcuterie and wine brought along her grandmother’s vintage picnic basket, which sounded like it gets lots of use on romantic, sunny afternoon picnics. It is so clear that these two share a wonderful, fun and laughter filled relationship that it was an absolute pleasure to be able to spend time with them. We can’t wait for their Sunshine Coast wedding this summer, we are really looking forward to it. To announce at your “engagement party” that tonight is actually going to be your wedding day, is certainly a very exciting way to get your family and friends screaming, whistling and hollering! And that’s exactly what Brette and Ricardo did! When Ricardo announced that they were all at Steamworks Uber Lounge for his and Brette’s surprise wedding, the room erupted with fantastic cheers. After his announcement, all the guests walked next door into The Atrium, that is part of Gastown’s Landing Building. Since the energy was high from their surprise, everyone had an amazing time, including us! Congratulations to Brette + Ricardo!
