Jolene and Oliver’s engagement session may have been a very wet and rainy day engagement photo session, but it certainly didn’t dampen the mood or the smiles. Our engagement photo session with with these two foodies, started at their favourite sushi restaurant, Kishimoto on Commercial Drive. The sushi was gorgeous and creative and delicious! I think that’s certainly where the smiles started! Then afterwards, under large umbrellas, we headed outside for a lovely walk at nearby Trout Lake.

I love happy mail!

Today we received a lovely card in the mail from Natasha, one of our brides from last season and here is what she said. So nice!

“Thank you for making our wedding day and engagement photos such a great experience. Your ease and ability to make us feel so comfortable in front on the camera was much appreciated. We are so grateful to have you both take photos for such an important life event for us.” Natasha + Mike

We delivered soooo many beautiful wedding albums just before Christmas to our couples, that I wanted to share even just one with you, so you can see just how lovely they are. So much work goes into these albums, that both Justin and I are very proud of all our wedding albums. 🙂

I find them all so beautiful and elegant. They are such a perfect way to complete a couples wedding day story in a timeless way that they can enjoy forever. They will always be able to open a book, curl up on the couch and enjoy their photos. While, somehow to me, it’s just not the same sitting next to a laptop and looking at photos, which is why I guess, it partially makes a custom wedding album feel so special: longevity, quality and how you can comfortably relive the day costing up together or sharing with family of all ages.

Here are a few pages from Kate + John’s elegant wedding album from this past 2014 season.

We photographed Lauren + Andrew’s evening engagement photo session in Gastown on the coldest night of the year! But due to them snuggling up close to keep warm and all of us giggling and laughing, we kept warm for most of it…until we realized that we could no longer feel our toes! But, despite the cold, we all had a great time and now they have some lovely photographs and art for their walls at home. We are looking forward to their mountain top wedding in August next year!  🙂
