vancouver wedding photographer – hyperfocus photography » vancouver wedding photographer, wedding photography as unique as you are

We met Venessa and Derek in person for the first time on the day before their wedding day on a surprisingly cold, very rainy day (I thought it might even snow!). I had been chatting for months with Venessa, but it was so nice to finally met her and Derek in person. With the weather the way it had been in the few days before, we made a solid rain plan and then on the day of their wedding Vanessa, Derek and their guests enjoyed a perfect blue sky, Autumn day! Awesome! Back to the sunny day plan! We had a fun afternoon with them and their bridal party traipsing around the Whistler area, but we’ll start you out with one sneak peak from a lovely forest spot we found. More to come!whistler_wedding_photography_september

    Steff and Justin are awesome!!!
I was in the bridal party of a wedding in Whistler this past week, due to the fact that we were all from Alberta and Saskatchewan we only had one car available for the wedding party. So the other bridesmaid and myself drove around to the different photography sites with Steff and Justin, they made us both feel so comfortable.
They are both very professional in the work that they do and in looking at their gallery I know the photos are going to be fabulous.
I commented to them that they made us feel like we were a group of friends out taking pictures!
I will be telling everyone I know who lives in or is going to be in BC to seriously consider Hyperfocus when they need a photographer.
Thanks Steff and Justin you made a great day even better!

    Hi Steff & Justin,
Looking at the new photos up on the blog (especially the Whistler one!) is making us super excited to see ours very soon!!!

In spite of the rain that blessed us all day, everyone had a great time and there were many comments on how fantastic you two were with blending in with our intimate group of family – chosen and bestowed.

Thank you so much again and we’ll email about next week.

Ramona and Shaun are an absolutely adorable couple who were beaming with massive smiles from ear to ear like Cheshire cats all day. They are so truly in love. We have more to share from their wonderful day, but for now just a little sneak peak.

On a recent sunny summer Sunday we got together with Ginny and Victor for a nice and casual engagement photo session in Yaletown. Up until this point we had only met with Ginny, since Victor was always out of town and busy with work, so it was a real pleasure to meet finally him. And what I liked best was seeing how Ginny just sparkles with happiness with Victor by her side! We really enjoyed our afternoon with them and are looking forward to their wedding at Hart House later in early Fall.

We were really looking forward to Cynthia and Paul’s weddings- yep, you got it, wedding-s. They had two gorgeous weddings on two separate days to celebrate both their cultural backgrounds. How much fun was that for them!!? Getting the chance to marry the love of your love twice, sounds rather romantic to me. And both of their wedding days couldn’t have been more different: Sikh for the first wedding and Western/Chinese for their second ceremony. Of course there was double the wedding planning for Cynthia, but I have to say she did an excellent job coordinating both days flawlessly.  Their first wedding day was to celebrate Paul’s Sikh background and took place at the Akali Singh Sikh Temple.

sikh_wedding_hyperfocus_photography_vancouverCynthia started getting ready at 5:30 am, while Paul only got up at 9am, lucky guy! Here Lailani, Cynthia’s friend watches as she has the final touches of her make-up applied.

sikh_wedding_vancouver_hyperfocus_photographyBeautiful!!

sikh_wedding_vancouver_hyperfocus_photographyAlthough the day started out with drizzly rain, we had warm sunshine just in time for our photo session near Deer Lake in Burnaby.

sikh_wedding_vancouver_hyperfocus_photographyCongratulations Cynthia + Paul! We truly enjoyed capturing ‘wedding day one’ for you. We’ll post their second wedding soon.

As the emcee for Paul and Cynthia’s wedding reception, I was taken back at all of the beautiful arrangements and the photographers’ attention to details. After attending so many mixed cultural weddings, this was absolutely unique and the most memorable wedding of the season!ReplyCancel
